Setanta Signal

Is it just me who loses his signal on setanta 50% of the time.?

If slight drizzle moves in it starts to break up and thats if I have a signal in the 1st place.

Very annoying when there is a bit of golf or footy to watch.

Setantas customer service leaves a lot to be desired as well

Never had a problem in the 2 years i have had it. Only time when there has been a picture breakup is when they are using other broadcasters such as the american networks and their satellite gets interfered with. And that seems rare.

I did have that......the problem you have is that the setanta channels are on a slightly different polarity to the others so while the rest are fine you will switch to find that setanta is unwatchable right?
You need to move your dish ever so slightly and best doing this by getting a person with a polarity box thing (forget its name)and get him to do it altho you can I think buy these things from argos etc.
Got mine moved and no problems at all....if you were confident you could do it yourself but if you dont get it set right you could bugger up all your channels.

Assuming you have Setanta on satellite -

It could be your dish is either too low or incorrectly aligned. We had ours moved as our neighbors tree was blocking the signal so that when it was windy our signal kept breaking up. On satellite the signal does break up in heavy rain but not slight drizzle.

I would get an engineer to check your dish position and alignment.

When I first got Setanta last June i had the same problem. Then about a month later it stopped and i've never had a problem since. What did i do to fix it? Nothing !!!

Mines on Virgin Media cable so i get a quality picture all the time unless the picture freezes..

Satanta need to launch a HD channel.

I often "visit" the inlaws, as they happen to have setanta and a 50 inch HD TV. But at that size its like the graphics of old games on the sega megadrive or something, talk about 1051 pixels!!!
