Sergio Sergio Sergio

What disappointed me was the commentary team just said " ah, he needs a break"
What they should have said in my opinion was
"If you're watching this kids, dont try this at home. It's unacceptable behaviour at any level".
Why don't the Sky team tell it like it is

I think Mr Alliss would ahve found a suitable comment. I think Segio needs a real good rest from the game. He is clearly a man in pain out there and it can't be doing him any good. A missed cut, early flight home and chuck the clubs away for as long as it takes

Dodger, if you had a son playing golf and copying Sergio's outburst, you would encourage him?

Sorry Dodger but i completely agree with Bob........It was ridiculous......Golf clubs are impliments to play the game of golf with....Not weapons.......Think of what a child would make in seeing a golfer act like that in front of them.
If you ask me Garcia is a muppet...Plain and simple..Never liked him and i dont think i ever will.....Never have i seen a professional player play with such a negative attitude.....If he misses a putt he stares at the hole like he's going to attack it with a spade like its the greens fault that he's missed....Feeling sorry for himself for not holing out ....Its been like this for ages with him and now its erupting.....If he had more of a positive attitude then maybe things would turn around for him!

Everyone seems to want the Ivory White Golf pro on our screens well news flash its no going to happen not in the pro or amateur game.

Fact.

Not so much the Ivory White Pro Screwback but just for them to use there noggin every now and again......Look at how much negative things in other sports are influencing Kids.....The last thing you want is golf doing it.....You've got premier players falling over willy nilly every weekend for nothing and going head to head....It filters down through the ranks to the lil uns eventually the last thing you want is them throwing tantrums on the course when things dont go their way....

I really wouldn't give a flying fcuk if my son/brother/mother/sisters fathers cousin threw the odd wobbly.Shows they care IMO.Weapons??? You'll need to run that past me,did he *** someone on the head with it? Must have missed that bit....as I said, get a grip.

Someone mentioned hoalier than thou posters in a previous thread...aye, seems to be plenty about.

Throwing the odd wobbly is something we all do from time to time - not always on the course - but that wasn't throwing a wobbly. That was a full blown assault on the course.
If you did that to one of the bunkers at Goswick I guess questions would be asked? Or is that behaviour common and acceptable up there?

A cuss and a swish of the club to dissipate anger I can live with. Not that.

Is it not in the ettiqutte pages that you should respect the course? Sergio showed no respect for anyone or anything and has gone down (further) in many people's eyes.

We will have to agree to disagree here...still cannot see why folk get all het up over a head off moment,it aint like the guy is playing in the monthly medal,it's his bloody job and one he aint enjoying one little bit at the moment.

Besides if he did that up here he would improve the bunkers.

I guess its more dissappointment with Sergio that anything else. Agreed, he's not topped anyone but it does set a bad example. And in a Sport that mainly self-regulates and relies on the integrity of the competitor its dissappointing to see him going so far over the top.

Ok, he hit a poor shot and he's playing like a tart. Still no reason to damage the course. If he'd taken it out on his bag then I wouldn't have worried.
