Just bought myself a very, very cheap Oscar Jacobson sweater from Ebay.

I needed something cheap and warm that i could chuck in my back, never needs ironing and will keep me warm at the range after work.

Bought this today and am now starting to feel like a bit of a tramp..:o

Does anyone else do this?

I've got a second hand Galvin Green T-shirt off ebay, straight in the wash when it came, as good as new.

See nothing wrong with it, look at it as vintage clothes shopping :)

I bought a couple of virtually new classic Pringle Faldo sweaters off e-bay. Probably unwanted gifts back in the day that never got worn. Superb quality and washed up beautifully.

I've bought a couple of Glenmuir lambswool jumpers off the bay.
One of them looks like it has never been worn before and has a "Galway Bay" crest on it so I can pretend I have played there.
I'm looking for an Augusta National one at the moment.
Half the price of new ones, and nobody is any the wiser
;)

I am a slightly hard up OAP, and admit to buying some of my golf gear from charity shops or even Sports Direct. There are sometimes some great bargains to be had. :)

Bought a second hand FJ shirt a few years ago
Great shirt but it had shrunk and was at least 2 sizes small - I already had one to compare it to...
That's the only problem I can see with it.

Poverty ... I work a 4 day week (my choice) but I'd rather have to work a 5 day week than buy second hand clothes.

Imagine living like that, sign of the times :(

Done it many times. They usually arrive washed but I wash them again anyway for my own piece of mind. I only buy if they look in excellent condition and the seller has good reviews. Nothing wrong with it and when it comes to premium gear like OJ it makes a lot of sense.

No issues buying other second hand stuff but wouldn't buy second hand clothes unless it hasn't been worn and still with tags on.

But I have no doubt there are plenty of bargains to be had.

I agree TBH and would never have purchased something that touched the skin (or shoes for that matter).

No issues with it personally. Had some decent bargains. Stick them in the wash when they get delivered, and no issues...

Got my eye on some lightly soiled tanga grundies at the moment.. All black so the marks don't show..

one eye on the ladies, the other on the pocket.. I'm all man...

Glad there's a market as I've shed some timber (plenty to go) since Christmas and now have some pretty decent trousers Nike, Stromberg etc that I was thinking i might try and sell and then reinvest. This thread has given me the gumption to do so.

As a youngster and one of 5, all, and I mean all, of our clothes came from jumble sales, hand me downs and freebies, so I never wear secondhand stuff now.
