I have now had 2 Callaway Diablo Octane Black drivers.

The first one lasted me 1 month and this one 9 months. If I send it back to Callaway what is the likelihood that I can get them to send me a different model or get a refund.

Thought I would add that something inside of the head has snapped and rattling inside the head.

Like already said. Its just resin inside that has come loose. They should exchange it as its a very common problem. As for getting a different driver in return, it would make no difference as it can happen to any drivers at any time. your just unlucky. How did the first one break?

Callaway are known for very good customer service, it wouldn't surprise me if your compensated with a new model as all callaway clubs come with a 2 year warranty

there is a easy fix to this problem.
heat up the base of the clubhead with a hairdryer this will melt the glue inside the clubhead then thump the clubhead on a phone book so the piece of metal that was rattling settles down in to the glue.
then leave to dry.
