Scottish Open

What's it like as a viewing course @KenL ? We're talking about going and watching next year.
There are a lot of good spots. I stood for a bit at the green of a par 5 where quite a few of the balls came over the back. Was so close to the action. Great grandstand too behind the green of the shortest par 3.
Definitely recommend going on day 1 as it wasn't too busy.

I was there last year, haven't gone this time. Okay, not great. Last year they roped off lots of the areas behind the tee boxes. That was really poor. Hopefully they've changed that this time as that is the view you often want.

@KenL may be more positive about it so see what he says.

I would say, it's well run, easy to park etc. I just didn't warm to it.

The course looks lovely, as do many north of the border…been trying to persuade my missus that we should move up the but she’s not having it!

And put your crisps in a bowl like Ormskirk
Never forget the experience I had at an Edinburgh club about 25 years ago.
Ordered crisps.
Bartender "I'll just get a basket"
Me "don't worry, just give me the bag"
BT "sorry sir, you must have them in a basket"
Me "OK then"
But, when I saw the state of the basket, a forensic scientists dream, I told them to keep their crisps. What a farce.

With the winds they have probably not cut the greens much, or at all.

No, they've not cut them, balls still moving, Hatton just chunked his when it apparently moved on the fairway. Even the usually calm Scheffler getting wound up by leaving his putts short. 🤣
