The coverage was supposed to be on today,but play was cancelled due to rain,thunder and landslides !!!

I'm I the only one who thinks maybe, just maybe, it makes some sense to let new courses settle over a few seasons before taking the plunge?
I'm sure that its not the first time it has had heavy rain since being built. I do think 2 years is a little early though.
Even without the sporadic subsidence , the course was flooded anyway.
If I was involved with the course design, I'd take the positives and work on the obvious problematic areas, nothing like a soak test to find leaks in the system.

Well put. I agree.
It took 5 years to discover that our 15th could potentially gain a water hazard mid fairway at driving distance given enough rain. Once it happened, they fixed it and the problem never came back.....luckily we didn't offer to host the world's best players that year.
Come on guys....would a 50 year course have managed with 3 inches of torrential rain in 2.5hrs?
