one thing i did notice yesterday, they were not playing some holes from the very back so the course is less than the 6895 on the card

I noticed they have moved a few tees up and back each day too. It probably makes it harder as they have brought different things into play. The organisers have set the course up very well i think both days so far.
They can make it quite a bit harder yet too i reckon. Some of the players have just lost their cool completely today and when you do that we all know the rest

Yes I do - playing next door to Royal Aberdeen at 9.30 tomorrow morning and forecast states sun shining(it always does on the golf course) wind similar to today - normal for us up here.
Played there today as well and I did not hear one of my party of circa 30 mention the wind whilst entering their returns.
I think maybe the pros are wimps!

Happened in 2000. TW shot -19 on TOC to win by 8.
I agree with Dodger about the likelihood of Rory winning an Open - only if there's no wind. 2010 at TOC - 4 rounds no score in the 70s, but the windy day was a disaster! He hits the ball sooo incredibly high!
