This is not true at all, if I look in my spam folder now there are countless items with my name on them.First thing with all of these, is it addressed to you, Fred Bloggs, or dear customer, or something similarly generic & nondescript. If it's addressed to you, do something about it; if it's not addressed directly to you consign it to the waste bin of cyberspace.
We had that one last week and were able tip the MiL about it tooWatch out for the BBC one saying your direct debit hasn't been paid and give you a link to renew your license.
Better still, hover your mouse pointer over the linky and you can read what the address is that they want to take you to. DO NOT CLICK ON IT THOUGH. It will not be the genuine web address of your supposed subjectFirst thing with all of these, is it addressed to you, Fred Bloggs, or dear customer, or something similarly generic & nondescript. Unless you're clever enough to be able to put your "bank details" in a link, which, when they click on it, downloads the computer equivalent of Covid 19 onto their server.
Anyone else noticed a huge increase in this crap since Covid 19 started?
