On the one hand his timing showed a bit of a lack of class but on the other, what better time to raise an important point when you have the world's golfing press hanging on your every word? I imagine they've discussed why they keep losing 'behind closed doors' after every defeat in the last 20 years and what good has it done them?

I disagree. Watson must have been devastated at the nature of the defeat and so soon after the event wasn't the time for a senior member of the side to be saying Azinger is the answer to the US prayers without even acknowledging the contribution and effort Watson had made
