Interesting interview with Gabby Logan yesterday. She asked him about France and their level of possession, to which Roy replied I'm not interested in statistics whether they are about possession or shots. He then goes on to say I'll only be interested when someone produces a statistic about shots that worry me.

Just goes to reinforce that he tries to limit teams to shots outside the area. If we show more attacking intent tomorrow, whilst retaining the defensive shape I'll be extremely impressed with what he has achieved in terms of patterns of play in such a limited amount of time.

I'll be impressed if there is a stat saying Sweden shots in the net = 3 England shots in the net = 0.:smirk:

Seriously, the man is,I believe, doing the job he was always going to do.....making you hard to beat but not nice to watch and I think you could go a long way doing this.Yes,you may have to ride your luck a few times but I can't see you conceding much.I said before the start that I though it would be 2 no scoring or low scoring draws and a 1 nil win that will see you progress.

Another pathetic quote from Roy but he's a nice fella with over 37yrs of football experience.......

What's worrying is his apparent short term memory loss. Not interested in stats on posession or shots, but will be interested if they produce a stat on shots...

He meant general shots (ie blast from 30 yards, crap shots, missed shots, easy saves) = bovvered? No.
Shots that worry him (ie stretch the keeper) = bovvered? Yes.
