Had someone tell me today that may be my issue, did a bit of research and it's exactly the symptoms I have.

I often play with a doctor and he's got it. One of my friends has recently been operated on his and I havent seen him back pkaying yet to see how successful surgery has been

easy way to tell. hold your arm out in front of you bent 90 degrees at the elbow, hold your wrist with the other arm and pull against it. the opposite direction than you would if arm wrestling

if that hurts it a rotator cuff

I had one years ago but that was before I started to play golf. It took several weeks of physio before it was OK again. Strangely playing 10-tin bowling helped, the day after it was less sore.

Mine is fine til around the 12 hole mark and from there on in I'm really struggling physically, effecting my score is bad enough but it's causing me considerable discomfort for the last few holes.

Yes I had this same issue
Pain anytime arm raised above shoulder height
Luckily didn't need an op
Physio didn't help at all
Steroid, cortisone injections did though

Was told a good test was
Put said arm behind your back and try and raise hand up as if reaching for shoulder blade

Yes

On consultants advice I just went for hydrocortisone injections in both shoulders. Still shows signs of the injury but at least I can swing a club most days. The physio wanted me to give up the game.

Anyone had one ??

Think it's what I've been struggling with recently

Think I've developed recently. Pain in upper arm & shoulder.
Can't raise arm above shoulder height.
Can't reach down and behind me, e.g.. tucking in shirt, putting belt on.

Think I exacerbated it by trying to play through it. Wakes me up most night's now if I roll onto shoulder in my sleep.

Really need to man up and get it sorted!!

four muscles in your cuff are the supraspinatus muscle, the infraspinatus muscle, teres minor muscle, and the subscapularis muscle.
Inflammation is common, sometimes caused by a bursitis in the joint... unless it’s a tear am afraid it’s rest rest and more rest. Painkillers will help you get through it, but be careful of doing more damage....

Thought I had it, turned out that the pain I've been suffering from for the last six months is actually a frozen shoulder. The symptoms are more or less interchangeable apparently.
The two can be similar in pain, but different in treatment. See a specialist and find out which one you have.
I'm just about able to hit a full swing now, couple of more months and I should be ok.

I've suffered with Rotator Cuff pain over the past couple of years to the point where ive been unable to swing the club and my shoulder has become incredibly weak.

I haven't needed surgery but I've found as soon as the pain starts you need to rest it and this can take some time, maybe up to a couple of months.
Ive had to build the strength up doing exercises using a theraband and even when it's ok to swing the club again it's maybe another 6 weeks before it's 100%.

Ive also found that it flares up far more in cold weather and heat patches on the shoulder in the winter help massively.

I did actually wonder if the cold was causing a bigger problem.
