Just been announced he is going to be playing vr woods, irons, method putter and the 20XI ball.

Couple of players been leaving Titleist over the off season, maybe Mcilroy next?

he's in my fantasy league:eek:- I have no evidence to back this up but I have a feeling this will work very well for Ross.

Like Ross......but been in the doldrums lately
Maybe a change will re-ignite his career
But Nike...........???

As for the Rory gossip to nike, been rumoured for about 12 months now on that one.
Only prob I see is, when Nike sign somebody, they have to be head to toe Nike, and at moment Rory has several other sponsors on the go

Fisher drops Titleist to chase the £, nothing to do with equipment, it's well seeing Fisher had a stinking year. I've never rated Nike but I think a lot of that is my perception of Nike being a company that does sporting equipment rather than a company that does golfing gear like Titleist, TM, Callaway etc.

I'd be surprised in Titleist let McIroy go without a fight and TBH I'll be surprised if McIlroy goes.

Yeah the money may have lured him but Nike do make some really good golf stuff now that i think is personally as good as any other of the big golf manufactures.

With a company like Nike and the money an power they have behinde them no matter what genre of sport they turn to they will always make good products.

Im not doubting it Bozza but ive always had this thing in my mind that Nike make everything for all sports but Titleist do golf only so should be better.

What do I know, neither pay me a coin.

I have to agree.

I used to (and still do to an extent) dislike Nike as a "brand". I never liked their footy boots and don't think I owned any in 20 odd years of playing.

Their early golf gear was poor but I find myslef with a fair amount of their stuff now and am very impressed with it all. Apart from their golf balls, don't know why but never got on with them and the swoosh just looks weird to me on a golf ball.

the problem with that is their all owned by sports companies.

Taylormade - only make golf stuff but are owned by adidas
Cobra - only make nike stuff but owned by puma

Now the best bit, wasnt it last year that parts of titleist were taken over by fila...

Your 100% bang on and if memory seves me correct Titleist (Accushnet) were owned by a brewer prior to the Fila buy out. Ping make more money doing stuff for the US military but I'd use Ping and have done but have reservations on Nike.

It's all in the mind I suppose.

Was bit shocked as Ross seemed to 'fit' Titleist. But I agree that after a few years back when I think it was Mickelson who said the Nike golf equipment was pretty awful, they now are as good as any. Hope he does well there.
