Rory What's In the Bag video

Yeah. Someone is obviously lying. Either the bloke that uses the club or someone that knows someone that knows someone that..... and so forth.
Time will tell, all I can relay is what I was told from a rock solid source (not chinese whispers). There is also the chance that they have given him something different from what he first trialled.

It was mentioned earlier in the thread but only online 10 mins ago :)
Wahay! Didn't take you long ;)

For what its worth, his average ball speed over the year was 178mph with Titleist, today he is quoted on saying "up to 180mph ball speed", two different stats.
It sounds like the facts were massaged a little to suit Nike, no lies but not quite the full picture, if he had said, yea they are no better than Titleist, im sure that wouldnt have went down well with all concerned. Wait until he is out on the course and see how his stats run for the first few tourneys is all I am saying.

Doesn't Rory look like he is really struggling to get enthusiastic about his new kit. If it was any better than his titleist gear then surely the feeling that knowing your going to win everything on the circuit would excite you. And I'm sure the Method putter doesn't feel the same as his custom Scotty
Rory doesn't look enthusiastic with the new gear cos whatever the guys got in he's hands he could use it...............

Used the 20xi on Saturday. They are a very hard ball, really clicky off the putter. Don't know how Rory will change from pro v to one of them.
i would suspect Rory is using the new version, which is not available in retail until Feb'

The old one definitely a hard feeling ball off the putter, but still spins quite a bit from wedges etc.

he's using the 20Xi X, all this 'inside' knowledge about losing 5 yards  seeps though all sectors and until it comes straight from the source is highly suspect and very unreliable.

I have a 'friend' who is extremely senior in Nike (France) and even he isnt privvy to this info.....and he has asked!

At the end of the day who cares how far or how much he 'wubs his cwubs', the proof will be in the scores:thup:

Let's face it he's not going to say they are not as a good at 150million he could stand up there sayin these chinese replica clubs feel great. Don't mean anything he paid to say that what ever they want, but some might say why if they are not as good but to Rory a clubs a club, with the level of tec out there give out till the end of the month and people will not have any idea that he's on a different brand.

Someone at his level would still be there abouts using any brand. And for me his putting was the worst part of his game so changing the putter might be a good thing.

I will still be backing him to win big this year

My Mum,whos really good friends with Rorys mum,and has in fact wiped Rorys
bum when babsitting when he was younger told me[so a reliable source],that
infact Rory had a slight cold whilst filming and had a problem getting enthusiastic that day.
She also told my mum he didnt make the move for the money either, just the fact that
he really does like the "swoosh logo".
As for the ball he said he doesnt care as long as he can get it in the hole in the least amount of shots.

For a $100 million or whatever dollars he seems decidedly underwhelmed, will Rory being at Nike make people buy their clubs?, personally Nike have never been on the radar when I am looking at equipment, shoes and shirts yes, clubs no.

Yeah. Someone is obviously lying. Either the bloke that uses the club or someone that knows someone that knows someone that..... and so forth.
Noone was lying as seen this weekend, I said he would be shorter and in the launch he said that he was getting "up to 180mph ball speed", that doesnt mean consistently. I think he was trying to hit it harder than he would have with his Titleist and was losing control a little.
Strangely the putter was never mentioned when talking about the driver a couple of weeks back. Id dare say the Nike putter will get another go, perhaps with a little more weight on it. He had 4 or 5 putts more than average this week, pretty much the difference in making and missing the cut. He'll be fine though.
