Rory What's In the Bag video

Well where to start? I know. how about Mcilroy being 'Blown away' by everything in his bag. Blown away by the driver that he hits further than his old Titleist one. No shock there then. He was 'Blown away' by his new irons too, oh! and he was 'blown away' with the research and development in his new Method putter with the groove technology. 150 million well spent then. Personally I'm blown away that he is blown away. Will I go out and buy anything Nike...Not on your Nelly as unlike Mr Mcilroy I have yet to see a single item of Nike golf equipment that has blown me away.

Doesn't Rory look like he is really struggling to get enthusiastic about his new kit. If it was any better than his titleist gear then surely the feeling that knowing your going to win everything on the circuit would excite you. And I'm sure the Method putter doesn't feel the same as his custom Scotty

I got the same feeling , he seemed uncomfortable or something.. doubt in reality if anything cept the badges are different anyhow

That driver looks different, awful if u ask me.
He seemed quite sheepish the whole time, also i thought he'd lost yards, not gained, and also thought he was keeping the Scotty.

From the way he is talking and body language he seems happy with the driver found little difference in the fairway woods, irons and wedges but isn't overly fussed by the putter.

As said in a previous post. The stats that are available over the PGA tour will show us everything we want to know. If they add up to the hype I predict big big increase in Nike gear in people bags. Personally I really like the look of the covert driver and the adjustable loft would really suit me.

Tiger has been blown quite it so i've heard;)

Thats how i see it. It doesnt matter to Nike if he uses the same tools as before as long as its got a Nike badge on now, he is basically a walking advertising board for Nike now thats all. Fans will never know any different.

I thought that the "insider info" was that he was 5 yds shorter on carry with the driver??

I'm now so confused I don't know what to believe!!??? Sod it, I'm off to get blown by the one with the red head ;)

I like the look of the driver, not because of Rory but interested to see how the cavity may/may not help me. I've never bought anything based on who is playing it and I'm not going to start with Nike and Rory. If they produce something that is better than what I have in my bag, competitively priced, then maybe.

I do think its a great move for the brand although the money on offer is obscene. I think Nike are producing some decent stuff these days (not in the Mizuno, Cally, Ping ball park yet though) and their apparel has always been decent. The brand will continue to grow. Will they get to be the #1 brand. Doubt it in Europe but the US....very possibly

Don’t know what you guys are on about, trying to read something into that video. He could play with a hockey stick and an orange.
I don’t know anyone who used the Titleist blades that Rory used and I don’t think anyone will use the Nike blades.

Has Rory ever been any good at this corporate stuff though? I don't think I've ever seen him comfortable when giving out the company lines, no matter what company they are.

Personally the big thing I saw was the ball change. Must be the new balls he is using as the old 20XI balls never had a great reputation from pros.

I'd probably tend to agree with you on that score. I'd also hedge my bets that its Nike balls that are causing the loss of distance and not the clubs.

They are utter tripe.

Yeah. Someone is obviously lying. Either the bloke that uses the club or someone that knows someone that knows someone that..... and so forth.
