Rory Putter Change

I see Rory has switched back to an anser style putter, looking at it it seems to be a Taylormade TP soto. His opening 66 would obviously suggest that it is working. I never thought he looked comfortable with the spider putters and hopefully this small change can get him back up there again.

Rory used to putt with a Del Mar 3.5, like the Odyssey number 9, a heel shafted flow neck half mallet. He sometimes used a Cameron Newport style. Round the time he was turning pro, he had a personal fitting with Scotty in California and was fitted into two putters, one of each style.

I don't think he has putted consistently well with Spiders, but clearly TM want their players to use them as they are pretty recognisable on TV. The TM Juno he is using now is like the Cameron he used to use.

I owned, and used as my regular putter, the Del Mar that Scotty fitted him for. Nice putter. I know a guy who has the Tour Rat (Newport-like) he used to win at Wentworth a few years back.
