Wonderful round the ball striking was quite brilliant. He could easily have been 5 better as the number of times he hit it within 10 feet was world class.

If the putts drop it could be a great dual between him and Kaymer tomorrow.

Said it from day one with Rory, best ball striker by miles. Putts as badly as me. Putting will always be his down fall, very poor putter considering his undoubted talent!

Can't comment on your putting as I aint seen it but your spot on Craw....no-one hits it sweeter tee to green when he's on his game but he's a streaky putter at best. He's not in the league of Kaymer with the flat stick.

I dont know if he is a bad putter mind craw. he hit that many greens if he was to hole all the putts he would be stupid under par.

I just dont think he has the killer instinct for holing them as the like of Kaymer, woods etc.

Good shooting but as always with Rory to little to late i'm afraid Kaymer is the man again.

I think it will be a great dual between the pair tomorrow but only on the days round i cant see Kaymer being any worse than 67 which will be way more than whats needed to take the win.

I'm nor too sure he is that bad a putter it just that he hits it inside 20 feet almost every hole dose any know where he is in the putts for greens in regulation stats rather than putts per round.

I said way back that give McIlroy a few years to get use to the strain of travelling and playing in the big events and his talent would shine. I think his decision to quit the PGA tour is great one. However I think Kaymer is an unstoppable force this week and they are all playing for 2nd.

I wouldn't write Mcilroy off just yet.

If driving accuracy is not the best on the day the course is not the most forgiving. As has been seen with many of the top players.

It will certainly be an interesting day tomorrow, to see who keeps their drives on the short stuff and sinking those putts!

Who's ya money on? :)

Golfmmad.

Would love to see mcilroy go out and shoot another 65, put the pressure on, ultimately I think Kaymer will coast to victory.
Hope its a good day of golf though, got the tv booked! lol

Under pressure Rors just doesn't hole the putts like Kaymer, Woods (did/does depending on your opinion) or even Gmac.
