I don't know of all the things he has done for charity, but I'm aware he funded and opened a children's hospice in Newcastle, N Ireland for kids with cancer over a decade ago.

I'm pretty sure he is a decent enough guy who does his bit to help others.

Apparently he spent a good 30 minutes talking to all and sundry. My mate who took the picture got a selfie and a ironically still had his glove in his back pocket from playing at the club so got that signed as well.
