Rory,best player in the world.

Agree with all that has been said above. I've followed him since he first turned pro, when I wasn't a particular fan, but he has grown in himself immensely, and grown on me at the same time. I think he is a very exciting player to watch, has some fantastic shots in his armoury, and after last years Masters, has the ability to pull back bad rounds. It is only a matter of time before he becomes number 1, and I will applaud him loudly when he gets there. He has fast become my second favourite player (Seve being an irreplaceable first).

Awesome Talent
Awesome Swing
Awesome Golfer

Still not somebody Im drawn too

Will without a shadow of doubt be World Number 1 ....... anytime soon

Still makes 'Stupid' errors .... ( only young I hear u say )
Still likely to Capitulate and Blow winning Opportunities ( or as mates say -- his BACKSIDE goes )
But when u give yourself enough chances, youre sure to win some

I still doubt he will dominate like Tiger did, as some people think
And I still have doubts he will be a Prolific Winner

But NO DOUBT , Best Player in the World Currently

I think it is fairly important he walks through the door tonight but even if he doesn't he will still get to No.1 soon.

I feel though that if he can win tonight with little stress he will really kick on.

Hypothetical question I know but I wonder if he does go onto to dominate (I don't think we will ever see him or anyone for that matter doing it to the extent Tiger has done) will we see the same level of hatred that appears from many for Woods??

Dodger, u could be Right
Lots of guys Hate the Winners
Its like the MAN UTD Syndrome...........so many people HATE those that are successful

I personally DO NOT Hate Tiger, really Admire, and hope he gets back to being more Competitive
Like Ive stated, I DO admire Rorys Game, but just cant Warm to him
And if he was head to head with dozens of others.....Lee, Luke, Kaymer........Id be shouting for the 'other guy'

Rory is playing great golf and seems to be able to do so with a nice easy going attitude. I hope he can keep that up.

I like the fact that Rory is so different to Luke and would love them to be paired up and battling it out for a major or another big comp, to see the contrast in styles. A lot of great sporting contests are built on that, like Borg vs McEnroe, or Senna vs Prost.

Great player, but generally acknowledged not a fan of poor weather (in recent years). So be interesting to see how he copes today

Good shout.
Rory will have a torrid time today if its blowing......

the big problem today as is that the 2 that are 2 behind its very hard to see winning so to a degree he's got a 4/5 shot lead over the most likely challengers (Bradley/Rose/Schwartzel). I want to oppose him but at 4/6 and based on that he looks a fair price to me. Quite fancy backing mcdowell at 40/1 in the w/o mcilroy mkt in bad conditions though

For sure Rorys the best player in the world at the moment and I can only see this guy getting better and better and lets not forget he`s only 22!!.He`ll be a good punt for this years masters.

Loving Rory tearing it up in the US. Plays like he loves the game and enjoys it. Unlike Woods who plays because he feels he has a point to prove and for sponsors.

Yeah, did you Rory touring china last year, I'm sure that was for the love of golf

I have to admire everything Rory has achieved so far and agree with Dodger, there are several more gears to go through as he matures and develops. However he's not a player I'm endeared to. can't put my finger on why but it doesn't stop me admiring the sublime talent he has and hope that he'll be #1 for a long time to come. I think he'll certainly beat Faldo's record of majors (will that make him the most successful British player ever?) and win titles all over the world. He'll also chuck a few away too but it won't be dull.
