When I caught this on the news it made think how much older some of my music Idols as a teenager were than I remembered.

While 'Pop' music in NZ was generally more focused on/dominated by US based artists (apart from The Beatles and Stones), certain 'stars' shone through. TSDG was certainly one of those - and many of those who passed through/were associated with that band (and a couple of others) are revered today - if not still performing!
