It seriously annoys me that I can't seem to get my left arm straight and I think about it a lot.
Today, however, I forgot all about it and practised thinking more about my right arm.
Why? because I've developed a swing thought which really seems to do something for my golf. It occurred to me that in order to get the left arm straight (or straight-ish) you need to have bend in the right arm (at the elbow) so that this coupled with the wrist cock can enable you to get the club to parallel.
Here's a photo of a nice position at the top. JJ's left arm is nowhere near 12 o'clock (his head is in the way!) so he can only get to parallel with wrist cock and bending the right arm to accommodate the left.
Anyway, so rather than thinking wide and extend today I was thinking cock the wrists and bend the right arm
Clearly I'll have to see it on video to see if the left arm is better, but the results were awesome.
Is it OK to think about bending the right arm?
OR is it something that might lead to a narrow swing?
Is my theory nonsense or if it works for me, should I stick with it?
