Rick Parfitt RIP

Saw Quo 5 times in total, never will forget the spotlights coming on and theres Rick Parfitt belting out the opening bars of Caroline.
Happy memories

Only saw them once - at the Glasgow Apollo - October 1976 - from which came their first live album Live!

Just loved the Quo.

RIP Rick - you were a belter of a rocker

More awful news in a year that has had far too much already.

Loved Quo and I'm so terribly sad about this.

Let's hope 2017 does'nt continue in the same vein :mmm:

Just watched the tribute on Sky News which shows a clip from 2008 where a young Status Quo fan called Richie Malone had the opportunity to pick up tips from Rick Parfitt before a concert. That young fan was the guy replacing Rick on the current tour when he had to pull out because of his health issues.

The clip also had an apology from Rick to the fans for letting them down. No pal, that you never did.

Seen Quo supporting Queen at St James Park in 86, and they were brilliant, did a longer set as some unknown band call inks or INXS as we later found out, mini bus had broken down on the M1 and they weren't going to make it.
