Mentioned this briefly in my GIR post but thought I would raise a separate thread. Been missing quite a few tiddlers recently so on the practice putting green yesterday tried the reverse grip and what a difference! Only missed one short putt in the whole round, looks a bit ungainly but seems to work, just feels totally natural letting the right arm control the putt, could be beginners luck but I'm sticking with it for the time being.

Anyone else changed to the reverse grip?

I used it for a while but found longer putts were more difficult to judge.
As you say though very solid for the short stuff

Playing in the Club Champs last year and putting very poorly. On the 13th green, had a left to right downhiller about 14 feet, switched to left hand low, boxed it. Used that putting method ever since.

Been toying with the idea but find it a bit awkward.
Might try my mat for a few weeks.
But have been a streaky putter all my life but am a bit worried it might ruin the stroke I have.

Switched to left hand low last year and reckon it's dropped 2 shots off mu index , not the right hand controlling though , more a feel that the left arm and putter are one with right hand along for the ride

Non-standard grips for putting never work for me, I think because they are mostly led by the left arm, and I'm so right-hand dominant that my left arm is weak as a kitten. :ROFLMAO: Just ends up with the putter head wobbling all over the place.

Started missing short putts to the left recently. After some contemplation and practice I realised I've started gripping the putter too much in my fingers and it's releasing too much. Started holding it in the lifeline and now nailing them again.
