Our elderly neighbor who lives across the road came over today to say that she’d noticed me traipsing back and forth to the field with clubs and balls in hand, and would I like to come and peruse her late husband’s clubs and see if there’s anything I’d like to take.

How kind!

They’re ever so slightly older than I had anticipated but bonus points for the bag. I shall look especially dapper shanking 3 off the tee with such apparel!

I presume it’s a putter yeah! The bag is actually pretty sweet not gonna lie. If it had a stand I’d totally take it out!

The putters are reproductions of early styles, not sure why the guy would have three though?

The steel head driver looks to be early to mid 90s.

The wooden wood is a laminated Harold Bird & Son made in Aldridge, Birmingham, unfortunately it's in pretty poor condition and would probably fall to pieces if played. But it's not worth anything so give it a go!

There looks to be a fourth putter there too so I can only assume that her late husband was a great driver of the ball as he only needed woods and putters.

Yes there’s 3 of the exact same putter for some reason. Perhaps he liked to 3 putt with a different club each time!!

Yeah it’s pretty damned cool to be fair. Looks like something Poults would put his name to!

Hopefully I can clean it up a bit with some soapy water!

What brand is the bag?

Can u also take a photo with a few modern clubs in it to see how it fits.

Those old bags look a fair bit smaller length wise than a modern pencil bag.

The bag is by ‘Bryant’. Will test it with modern clubs in later!
