Correct decision squire, and wish you and yours all the very best together.

It gives you time to practice your flop shot, watch all them old grainy Everton videos and enjoy some of your hobbies.

Have you "planned" for it, as lots of time to fill. Thinking of any further education, new hobbies, volunteer work or anything?

Can I just ask you, why cant I get this picture out of my head........

I did ask you not to share that photo of me

I'm continuing to do casework for the British Legion (can do it during the day Mon-Fri now rather than after work or weekends) and I'll still do Queens Body Guard stuff, rest of tge time will be split between Golf Course and family time. 😃

Having had me golf day for the ex pit lads, the general consensus is that some people ( inc me ) are born to retire. 😁 Enjoy mah man.

Get you you little show off :D

Plenty of time now to smack balls down the fairway with your lovely new 910 driver!

If you fancy venturing south at any point give me a shout and we can have a game :swing:
I would be up for that Paul.

Happy retirement, you have deserved it.

Just finished my last day at work, 36 years in the Army,

Cleared the office and realised just how much stuff I've accumulated, it will have to go in the garage for now until I can sort it.

Roll on retirement😃

Nobody likes a show off :blah: :blah:

Good luck and thank you for your service to our country for all of those years.

Keep busy, do the things you always wanted to do and start some new things.
That would be my advice.

I took early retirement at 55 then had some nae brainer seasonal/part time/ hobby jobs for 9 years. Easing off to two shifts a week at the end.
This saved my pension pot and allowed me to collect a full state pension when finished which was an unexpected bonus.
I really enjoyed my that time and made some good friends.
