I was in exactly this position a few months back.

Had 2 sets of irons then someone was selling his Cobra Amp Pro irons I'd been drooling over for a great price.

I quickly had 3 sets of irons

Cobras still in the bag though, awesome clubs if a little too much for my mediocre golf swing!!

I've avoided new bats for quite a while. If I can stay in Cat 2 at the end off the season I'll get fitted for some new ions for the next journey off Single figures.

My irons have got me down 8 shots in 4 years but not the ideal fit for me :p

New bats give you the added urge to get out there and practice and play. They are just what your new improved game is crying out for. I can't believe you are prevaricating - just do it!

It's obvious that you have to buy them, what'll happen if you don't buy them? You'll regret it and a seed of doubt will be planted in your mind, it will damage your game and your mental stability!

For god's sake you have to buy them!

Ok, here goes...

You don't need them.
Something better will be along soon.
The wife will kill you.
You can't afford them.
You could get a case of seriously good Rioja for same money.
You need the car serviced.

Oh hell, if none of the above suit, then buy the darn things.

I'm definitely the wrong person to ask having snapped up the RBZ Tours at 260 and then wondered why I bought them!

Still, couple of thousand balls later I should be as comfortable with them as my current irons :(

I did get the G25's and then repented and opted for the I version. I am more than happy now with my set up and although I still enjoy trying out the new clubs on the market, I can't see any reason to change anytime soon

Buy them. Even if I am somewhat biased, the '54s are delicious. End of story.

If you don't get on with them, just resell at no loss.
