It's currently maintenance week at my course and the greens have been sanded. I was literally gobsmacked at the amount of pitch marks on the greens, I think on average that I repaired about 4 every hole that I played. Is there some greenskeeper magic that I've missed out on? Am I repairing them needlessly?

They still need to be repaired but sometimes when the green has only just been sanded they are hard to spot if our greens are anything to go by.

Yeh, I struggle to spot them. Always make sure I repair at least one if I can’t find mine though.

Alas there are plenty of lazy inconsiderate about. Our were all done last week with the dry jet, so we're very soft. Not so much pitch marks more like craters, nor sure how you could miss them.
