Remembrance Day

The thread was meant to be a remembrance to the people that lost their lives during the Great War not to be used as an agenda.

It was supposed to a thread to allow people to post their remembrance with any picture or poem or message.

Please can any talk about the whys and where's be started on the thread about poppies
 
Things are changing though - the Scouts clearly hadn't been drilled on how to do a slow march when bringing the flags to the front of the church. But I am jesting (a little :)) It was lovely seeing church full of young folk and them hearing the minister explain what remembrance is all about - and him reminding the rest of us.

Remembrance without debate isn't really remembrance.
 
It would perhaps have been apt had the OP made it clear that he wanted the thread to be about remembrance experiences today rather than a generic thread. That said, my club sounded the klaxon today and the whole course and clubhouse stopped and paid their respects
