the last two times i have played i have forgotten to bring a snack or even a drink with me and i have noticed my rounds have not been to my usual standard, is it just me not playing well or is it no food or drink. do you guys think it is essential to bring refreshments or is it just nice to have something to sip on when playing.

Yep, defo need something to drink / eat
Me , banana, cereal bar, or apple
2 Drinks normally
Bottle of Water
Bottle of Gatorade or Powerade.......

Gota top up your fluids at the very least

Yea defo think it makes a difference if I get unorganised and forget the pro shop always gets a visit!

unfortunately for me my club doesn't have a pro shop being 10 minutes from city centre and loads of golf shops not really much point just a vending machine with ridiculous prices

i have kidney failure so have to drink more than normal and always have 3 or 4 bottles in the bag,hid gets a load from the cash n carry and works out at 14p a bottle, the only blessing about having tree lined fairways at the club.

Without fail I have 2 powerades and 2 fruit smoothies by innocent, with a flapjack and a few peanuts.

Must keep fuelling the fire!

Ash!!

At worst, fluids are a must. I can do without a snack if I have water or juice to keep me going.

I forgot my usual bottle of diet coke and apple today and felt flipping awful on the last few holes, wont make that mistake again.

I'm diabetic so hydration and regular intake of food are essential. At least a 500ml bottle of water, a lucozade lite and two bananas but always keep some raisins and a few unsalted nuts in the bag too. Hopefully Amanda will be bringing her famous flapjacks to a GM meet soon which we can all nibble on on the way round
