Just noticed that you are new to the game, I can recommend Boysnope as a decent beginners course, pretty flat, wide fairways, about £16 a round. Its not a private members course but not a municipal either. Its near Barton Airport just past Macro, on the A57.
Swinton park is a good test, if your drivings on form you'll score well, if not you'll spend a lot of time looking for balls.
Worsley is also a nice parkland course. Both James Braid courses I think.
I used to drive past it and I always thought the same until I played it.
Try and get on for a game louise, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's a very good course.
If you're a beginner to the game and you don't mind a little bit of travelling, then I would suggest giving William Wroe in Flixton a try. I've played Boysnope a few times myself and I always find it gets a little boring on the back 9.
