range balls

Fair point about the tees, there are only ever driver length tees where I practice.

To be honest thats all I use a tee for when practising but can see the problem.

Do you not want to practice your 3 woods / 2 irons off a tee? I always try a few 3 woods and often imagine I'm playing the par 3s from my course. There's a tricky one that requires a fading 4 iron, I used to try that 10 times a practice, difficult off the mat or a skyscraper!!!

I'm tempted to buy a low one next time my range gets replacements.....slot it in the mat and take the toweriffic one along to the pro shop!!

My local range-next to Dublin Airport is well run-good quality balls and mats-excellent teaching pros and we are allow bring in our bags.

The owner understands we golfers want quality balls and he ensures the balls are changed yearly. The mats are also changed regularly.

Hi rgs

What balls do you use at the range?

Ours are the rubbish top flite practice balls with the strips.

I think the top flite ones are one of the better range balls. We have the nasty yellow bricks!

range balls are designed to fly at least 10% less than normal balls or depending what your range has specified in their order also the compression will be different.
i dont have a problem with this im a at a range to make my swing better not hit it futher this will come with better a techinque.
