Well folks, need a hand.
I have the chance to buy one off a mate for a good price, it has the blur shaft, stiff flex. Hit it a few times, and it goes well, getting it tonight to try on the course weds and thurs.
Are they worth the money?
My dilema, is that I go through a lot of drivers, I went back to a 909 d3 recently which I hit ok, good distance, and bad shots are not awful.
But I think the 8.5 is a bit too low.
I said I would keep the Titleist for next season with no changes but thus has come up and making me want to change.
If it goes well, would I be silly to change?

For the correct price maybe worth a look. Remember you can change the loft lie and weight of the head with it so can fit it to work for you. I have an R9 and looking to upgrade to the 11 for next season. Bottom line is only you really know. If you hit the Titleist well then why do you want to change? If you go through a lot of drivers I would say seriously go and get a lesson, as it is easy to blame the driver but more often than not a lesson will make you drive it better.

But on the other hand the R11 looks the muts nuts so always remember on the first tee one thing....IT DON'T MEAN A THING IF YOU AIN'T GOT SOME BLING............LOL

I have a 909 D3 9.5 degree with a proper blueboard shaft............................................ ;)

As for the R11 had a swish with one and never liked the white, think it is a gimick.
 
He is selling as the shaft is too stiff for him, got himself a ref shaft 910 from a work colleague he likes it better.
I go through clubs mainly through boredom lol.
Looking to avoid lessons for a bit, just to try and clear my head of the stuff already in it. Have a couple sitting, though, so who knows

LOL I can see another for sale thread coming soon! To be honest I found the Superfast 2.0 a nicer hit and being non adjustable doesnt leave you thinking if you should be toying with the settings to get more out of it.
 
i think whats good about them is you have the chance to adjust them from 8* upto 10* depending on what one it is.

that will be handy if you are the kind of person who changes drivers often and thinks that 8.5* is too low.
 
I think 8.5* IS too low, I played 8.5* for the last 12 years+ (7.5* for 1 season)
It's all down to the shaft though so ideally a low launch high kick point shaft combined with 9.5* or 10.5* should bear more repeatable results.
Just my opinion though based upon experience, there will be many that 8.5 is too HIGH.
Chris Woods recently went from 8.5* to 9.5* with more consistency

Is it the TP version or the regular R11? And I guess it's been adjusted to 8.5 as you can only get either 9 or 10.5 off the shelf.

I'm not a fan of the shaft either as it made the head feel dead. No feel. Result were good but no feel.
 
Only ever had 1 hit with one - a regular shafted example briefly owned by Fragger.

It went miles. Even I could hit it straight.

Trouble was........

It's white and that's just wrong..........
 
Aside from being White, it has the same issue as all adjustable drivers. On any given day, it is never set up how I would want it set up after I have hit my first three drives.

It is also very easy to swap the shaft in and out. I am building up a small library of shafts. Again, I never have the right one in for the way I am hitting it on the day.

And it is White. This is just wrong.
 
Had a look at several TM demo days over the summer and it doesn't do it for me even as a self confessed TM fan. The superfast Burner was a better club but makes a horrendous noise which put me right off. I can see the logic behind the white head at address and now a lot of others are doing it if that is what you want then there will be a club for you. If you want adjustability and not just the cosmetic look then Titleist would be the obvious choice

The driver is the 9 deg standard one, my driver is the 8.5.
It is set to N, and higher.
went to range with it tonight, hit maybe 15 balls, and really liked it, it had a great flight, went straightish, no bad ones, But i realise that it was only the range, so heading out weds and thursday and will see how she goes.
Based on the range performance, I dont care if it is white, pink, blue or red,if it goes like it did tonight, i want it.
I also didnt find the shaft or the head dead, it came out the middle and felt good to me, again though, even if it had of felt dead, but went straight, I want it, thats what I need.
Hopefully I still feel the same come the weekend!!

Well you like the idea of interchangeable shafts, so I guessed you had experience of it.

I have, and it means that there is no end to the messing about you can do with it. A new shaft is £100 plus, but way cheaper than a new driver. So you can sell the old ones on eBay. No, not really, because a few bad drives, the old shaft could be straight back in. I now have 3, but by the end of next year, I guess that could double.
