Played against a couple of low h/c's in 4 ball knockout, after they beat us and having a beer, they said when I putt, the ball takes off instead of rolls, they said a softer putter face might help, wot do you reckon, using a B60 at the moment,

I find it hard to believe that Ping (?) would make a putter that doesn't roll the ball nicely when used as intended.

Is it possible the shaft has been bent?

Other than that, do you hit up or down on the ball excessively?

I would hazard a guess your hitting down on the ball as opposed to through it making the ball bounce.

its a new putter and its not damaged, hitting up or down, I have no idea to be honest,

Try and check your ball position and set up with a putting mirror or get your pro to just look at you. Sounds to me as if the ball is too far back
