Hmm looks good just doesn't really do it for me.

Here's an idea.

Get down to your local carpet store with putter and ball (might look a bit of a knob but hey?), ask to see some of the hard wearing office type carpets with a shorter pile and try them out until you find one that has the right roll.

I bet it'll cost no more than £20 to get a decent length and with any luck they'll have it in green too.
