In the market for a new putter. Now this might be a stupid question but whats the difference between a £10 putter and a £100 one ?

Im a newcomer to golf so any advice would be welcomed.

Thanks

Whatever feels best. To be honest you can get a hot blade putter around £30 that has the same weight and shape as some odysseys. They do the job, just depends if your a brand snob like me!!

Marketing costs, design costs, material costs, production costs... Probably a lot more costs in the background for the bigger brands too.

f.w.i.w. a £10 putter might work for you, but it won't be anything other than a piece of cheap metal on the end of a steel pole. You might putt OK with it, but you'll always wish you bought something decent, even if that's only £20. The only thing I spend serious money on is drivers and putters. I did play a season with a £9.99 putter and it drove me mad....

The middle option, is buy a decent second hand putter from a shop with a practice green, but try it first to see if it works, feels right.
