I rather doubt that Scheffler spent anything as he is contracted to TM and they would be delighted to get another of their clubs in his bag.

Only need to look at the practice green at a PGA Tour event and the tour reps are generally there with a full selection of their wares for any player, contracted or not, to try.

You didn't say expensive putter. You just said new pots and pans, ie different. Then gave an analogy of someone doing exactly that, winning with new, different, pots and pans

I'd agree, expensive doesn't have to equal better.

Last 20 yrs I have only had five.
