Pulled muscle lower back

New swing changes and putting have resulted in a pulled muscle last Sunday in a comp - very painful and no golf for over a week now!!

Any decent exercise / recovery videos or advice?

Had the sports massage to loosen up on Thursday but has not improved or got better in a week now -

heat pad on local area, ibuprofen and paracetamol alternatively making sure you don't take more than the recommended dosage.. get up and move every half hour, try not to sit in the same position for too long..
 
Sorry to hear your in pain. As a long term sufferer of back pain , make sure you warm up and stretch properly before you play / practice. Also, just a small thing that i find helps immensely is to make sure my posture is always good. I'm 6ft 5 and have a tendancy to slouch when sat down or hunch over when stood up.
 
I suffered with back pain for years eventually I had to go for a back op.I found that using ice on my back was the best thing for it.A bag of frozen peas etc wrapped in a tea towel 20 mins on 1 hr off This helps with the imflamation.I hope this helps.
