PS3 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11

So I gave up on the XBox 360 and bought a PS3 instead, and it came with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11. Anyone else got this setup and plays online? Been thinking how good it would be to have a game against another person, just for a bit of fun.

Not got it yet, heard the game is bug riddled and still not a step up from 2007 which I still play. Is it actually any different and does the new player cam angle work?

I have the PS3 but find the tiger woods games just repeat from one to the next. Not into the 2011 game and won't be buying.

One game I am into though is Call Of Duty. New one out 9th Nov.

I have TW '11. It's alot harder than the previous years. I'm still fairly average at it. Don't get on it as much as I used to though.

This is the first TW PGA Tour I've played, and I have to say I'm not impressed. It's fun to play, but I would've at least expected different swings for the different pros, but they're all the same. Graphics are a bit naff, character movement's a bit naff. (Though I do like the Game Face option, of putting your own face onto your player, which I've done.)

I'm intending to get Modern Warfare at some point, but will just stick with Single Player on TW11 for now. And have just ordered PS3 Move, so will see what games I can get with that.

TW 11 is supposed to be Move compatible so will be interesting to see if that improves the gameplay. The franchise needs some competition as EA see it as easy money and can't be bothered. Exactly the same was the case for the FIFA series until Pro Evo lit a fire under their ass!

I'm quite looking forward to F1 2010, can't get CoD as my Playstation time is fairly limited and is normally when the littl'un is in the living room or in bed, won't play it when he can watch it and playing it with the sound down is just a crap experience!!!!! Gutted as I loved Modern Warfare.

I know what you mean, but it would mean motion capturing each pro that appears on the game which would be very expensive and a logistical nightmare. Not to mention, some of them might not agree to it.

Rory's swing is motion captured to his own swing though.

And yea, TW11 is Move compatible. All reports I've heard so far are supposed to be awesome. The Sports game you get with it is supposed to be awesome. Disc Golf! Yay!

Oh good, I thought it was just me!! Even with the Putt Preview it's still difficult, and I regularly 3-putt from outside about 20 feet.

I thought that the game was a step up from previous versions. As smiffy says the putting has now changed and made it a fair bit harder to make silly scores and also i like the addition of the focus meter as it means you are limited in how much spin/boost/putt previews you can use.

However i am disappointed with the fact that there are extra courses that you can buy if you want as the courses are ones that have been in previous versions and are just trying to squeeze every extra penny they can.

All in all though i do feel they have made some decent improvements this year and hopefully they can continue in this way.

Also for me i cannot wait for Gran Turismo i think this is going to be a mega advancement of gaming in terms of graphics and we are going to start to see the true potential of the ps3!

The only thing I don't like about the Tiger Woods games is that if you can't master anything other than the "3 click system" you are completely fecked as far as distance is concerned.
I go online to play and see some of these gamernet challenges and they have driven the bloody ball over 400 yards, something I can't do with 3 click.

The new F1 game looks stuning, I have the Wii version which came out a few months ago which is a great game but i'm tempted to buy a 360 or PS3 to get this game as well as a few others. Anyone else play tiger woods on the Wii, not perfect but great fun and some top courses on the new one including Turnberry and wentworth as well as the twenty ten course at celtic manor.

All of the preview clips I have seen look fantastic. Can't wait for mine to arrive, with a bit of luck it might be here today, if not tomorrow. Can see me giving TW11 a rest for a while to try to get to grips with the handling of the F1 cars. This looks fun....

My stats are all fairly low, and my biggest drive so far has been 298 yards, (wind behind me, fairway downhill), but yes, the Longest Drive stats are often silly. One time on a 340 yard hole the Longest Drive was over 440 yards!!!? Plus EVERY SINGLE TIME there's a Closest to the Pin Challenge there's always been a Hole in One. Lot of people play I guess.

I don't use the 3-click system...goes too fast for me, (though I'm sure I could get used to it). I use the left lever, (until I get Move, in which case I'll use that! ) I'm sure when I get my stats to 100% for swing speed and power boost that I'll be hitting well over 300 yards and near to 400 when the conditions are right...it's all about Experience Points isn't it, and getting that perfect stroke.
