Having seen a guy using this at the range over the weekend I have just taken delivery of a proliner alignment aid. (http://www.prolinergolf.co.uk)

Basically it is a simple gadget that makes sure you are lined up correctly. It can be used in a fixed ball position or can be moved to show the correct position for different clubs. It can also be used a putting trainer. At £19.99 it isn't that expensive as a good tool for training and checking the fundamentals of ball position and alignment

Off to the practice ground (or range depending on the weather) tomorrow to give it a go and will report back

Does it help with the distance to stand from the ball as this is what causes me problems, one shot too near then over compensate.

I have this, guys. A slightly more complicated version.

Bloody expensive for a few bits of metal, but I was desperate and having constant probs with bad alignment last year. It helped sort me out. Great for repeating your ball position and distance from the ball, too.

Got a few strange looks at the range at first...but hey.

Actually, on course now I simply tee the ball up with a black line on the ball aiming at target. Aligns me great now. Shame you can only do it off the tee or when you have preferred lies!

Well I never, looks like the contraption I knocked up in the shed last week with 2 old bits of curtain rail!!!.....no joke.....

I'll take a picture if I ever make it outside again.

Seems to help me a great deal not so much for the alignment but the width of stance.

I tried the alignment on ball thing.....couldn't make it work......we did a test years ago (with 2 tone ping balls) and discovered a seemingly perfect line up could be miles off even at 150 yards......shocking invention i.m.o.
