Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

If that's the hill you want to plant your flag in............ that's up to you 🤷🏻
It's not about being on a hill.....

It's about sports terms. Several players were recently suspended in the NFL for various reasons; no one is casually stating that they were banned. When it comes to sports, those words are totally different and not interchangeable. Nor should they be.

Another sports reference.....Pete Rose was banned permanently from baseball; he wasn't suspended. No one casually says, "Same thing."

Couple of grand per event seems wildly wildly low. It’s not going to be a book Ryanair and Premier Inn 6 months in advance point-to-point type travel schedule is it? Then there’s caddy, coach, trainer, equipment, agent, organisational assistance, office costs, publicity, etc etc etc. That’s before you pay yourself a penny to actually live and eat the rest of the year. The idea that you could miss 15 cuts and still have plenty of change from 150k and be living in serene comfort is laughable.

Sure Eddie Pepperell said his expense account was around 180k for the year and he considered that low

As of now, Wesley Bryan is suspended for about 12 months/.

For a media rights violation, he should be banned for life, though. That's how the PGAT gets paid.
He's suspended indefinitely. If that's not a ban, I don't know what is.

Although, I'm not really sure why you are so bothered. Football managers would regularly say a player has a three match ban after a red card.

If there is such a distinction between banned and suspended, why do you need to say banned for life? Shouldn’t it be just banned?

When someone in football gets a red card they are banned for 1 or 3 games

Banning can be a temporary measure

Okay, you win. Banning for life and a suspension are the same thing. I'll notify all of the sports leagues. 😂

No. In regard to sports, a ban is a permanent term, whereas suspension is usually meant to be a temporary situation.

It's called sports terminology. You have to excuse me. All I watch is sports, and, in my world, suspension and ban are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

But that's just me, and I'll agree to disagree.

If as you say “a ban is a permanent term” then why did you add “for life” after it? by definition permanent is for life not a temporary situation such as less than life.

I think that I get it now. In your part of the world, a ban and a suspension are used differently and are interchangeable.

In my part of the sporting world, they are not. Got it.

See, LIV fans would be like Ban/suspension - whatever...

Yet PGAT guys are freaking out over something absolutely meaningless.

The old versus the new. Progression versus stagnation. Welcome to the world of mens professional golf... :ROFLMAO:

Phil, lets just move on..

The whole debate about bans/suspensions is completely pointless, and a distraction from the ludicrous position the PGAT have taken on the matter.

It’s only ludicrous when you view it from a LIV point of view

The PGAT put restrictions in place to protect their tour

Just like ET put restrictions in place and just like LIV put restrictions in place

You can go through all the tours and find something that’s “ludicrous”

The way you are reacting to people I can see it won’t be long until either.

You are suspended from the forum forever
Or
You are banned for 6 months.

Cheer up it’s Friday 😂😂

So he hasn’t learned his lesson ? Been binned off LIV once already

Let’s hope he makes the call quickly so that the next person in line can take that PGAT instead

So when it comes to pathways I guess these players don’t have to qualify ? How many spots are actually open to people to qualify too

Are they struggling to get players so going back to players that used to play on LIV

Seen this a few places already so perhaps there’s an element of truth to it. Be interested to see the reasoning behind it and what led him to choose to do so.

If he does hopefully he can maintain a level of playing rights in DPWT like Hatton and play an element of both tours. I can see reasons why he would choose it and fair play he’s entitled to go wherever he wants if he’s earned the right or even invited to play.

Canter did more than enough to warrant a LIV contract when he covered Horsfields injury.
Just missed out in the promotions event - he’s a solid player.

He’ll have a lot of connections with LIV, and choosing them over the PGAT would be fairly logical tbh.

Not sure anyone are “PGAT guys”
They’re just anti any thing LIV.

When once they were big Poulter & Westwood fans, now they will look to post only negatives about them at every opportunity 😆

Crazy how obsessed and upset people get over a golf tour 🤯
