Preferred lies is the wrong MLR for dealing with mud balls.
PL is for more extreme problems with course conditions, as it allows moving the ball to a more favourable position, on tour commonly up to a club length away. As such, it can materially affect the difficulty of the shot faced, especially around the edges of fairways and greens, and should not be implemented unless absolutely necessary.

It’s scorecard width on the European tour a fantastic compromise imo should be brought into the next rules review imo for all closely mown areas

LCP is easy for the players to use and obey. LCR is subject to more abuse. My two pence.

Interested to know why. Surely it is less open to abuse if a ball is marked and must be replaced on the same spot or am I missing something?
The potential abuse is that the ball does not get replaced on the same spot, just "nearly" that spot.

Scottie wins yet again Rory nowhere near. Has he given up or is he just not that good?
I think your right Rory is useless he ain’t won a competition since oh let me think last Sunday.

And your right again he can’t ever of been much good he has only won the grand slam once

Wish I was as rubbish at golf as he is.

Nobody said he is rubbish. He's a top 10 in the world golfer. Scottie is a different level though.

You stated 'not that good'.

They are the top two players in the world currently and if you brought any statistical analysis to your trolling, you'd find it difficult to seperate them.

Rory wins off the tee, Scottie on approach shots and putting. Break it down further and include shots from the rough etc and they are neck and neck.

Talking about necks, you could do to wind yours in 😁

Neck and neck with Scottie? I knew his fans were delusional but that's taking it to another level. On his day he's definitely up there but sadly he has more bad days than good.

Would Scottie have done so well in the wind and rain at Wentworth? It's ok winning in the US where, by and large, the courses are set up very similar and usually played in perfect conditions. Can he do it on wet courses in less than perfect conditions as often? Maybe he should play more on the European circuit?
