Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

This just isn't true.

2019 - well over a dozen of the owgr top-50 didn't play, including 7 of the top-10 (and just 2 citing injury).
2018 - same story; almost half of the top-20 didn't play.
2017 - same again; half the top-10 missing.
2016 was the last time is was well supported by the top players, but the big cat was still absent.
A look at the list of past winners of the China Open indicates the big names either don't perform or they aren't there and the opportunity falls to a lesser name on tour

So not "...full of the top players apart from a couple who were injured..." then.

If that was a LIV field you'd be incessantly trolling it, saying there's hardly any top players there.

How about, just for a change, you either stop making stuff up (maybe even do some research before stating things as fact that you actually don't know much about), or just put your hands up when you get caught making stuff up instead of trying to wheedle out of it by moving the goalposts?

What does it have to do with LIV

It was full of top players in 2019 as by the list above - it’s got nothing to do with LIV

I know you love to hit those very high pendantic levels to go through posts with a fine tooth comb to attempt to rip them apart hence why you prob ignored the rest of the post

The point is very simple

Top players played in the HSBC and crowds didn’t go to watch them

Simple question - how many would have been able to afford to go and watch, how many would the authorities allow to watch and is there actually any interest from the Chinese public anyway?

It has nothing to do with LIV, but you have repeatedly (and recently) used the same arguments in reverse against LIV.
I'm simply highlighting your ever moving goalposts/double-standards and hypocrisy in claiming one has a strong field of top players and the other doesn't.

You habitually make untrue claims to support your opinion thinking no-one will notice or challenge you. If you don't like getting found out, maybe stop doing it?

It’s a shame they couldn’t have it closer to the Scottish Open so have three top links events in a row - would have imo helped improve the field
It makes sense it that they had a gap in the schedule and the seniors play there the week before. The course will already be setup.

Think it’s a couple weeks gap after the Open

If they put it on after the open then that’s before rhe seniors as well and wouldn’t clash with the Fed Ex - might have helped persuade more to stay and play it - especially the top Europeans

Didn't the players ask for a gap after The Open, and that's why the European Tour has no events at the end of July. It does seem odd considering it is peak season.

Yep a two time major winner, runner up twice in the PGA.....

but have not heard you complain about all the invites to the Masters.....how many wasted spots there ?

Who are we talking about when it comes to Masters invites being wasted spots ?

And DJ record in majors since he went to LIV is poor and his record on LIV over the last 18 months doesn’t stand out
