Came home and the Wife is watching the LIV replay, said she gave up on the PGA replay as it was crap, who am I to argue.
He was saying he's improved..Wind blowing at Sawgrass today, that will probably take Rory out the running as he’s usually crap in the wind.
You missed his win at Pebble a few weeks ago then?Wind blowing at Sawgrass today, that will probably take Rory out the running as he’s usually crap in the wind.
Don’t know squat about LIV and never will so this is just a question but what are the comparable field sizes? This isn’t meant as a criticism—I'm genuinely trying to figure this out.
Why are LIV golfers getting around in 4 hours and 30 minutes, while PGA Tour rounds are taking at least an hour longer?
Both are professional golfers playing 18 holes, trying to win under pressure—so in theory, the format shouldn’t make that much of a difference, right?
Shotgun starts might save some time at the start, but they shouldn’t have that much of an impact on the overall round time.
LIV did hand out a penaltyto a player last year for slow play—maybe that’s the key difference? Knowing there are actual consequences for slow play might be keeping the pace higher.
Just curious to understand what's driving the difference.
Probably because there is nothing riding on their performance in LIV, they get paid either way so no reason to take your time or try hard. This isn’t meant as a criticism—I'm genuinely trying to figure this out.

No, I saw it. As is said “usually crap in the wind” as history would show. You missed his win at Pebble a few weeks ago then?
You can see why the No Laying Up guys call him “the unstable compound”. Just never know what kind of round you are going to get from him.M W lee![]()
Shotgun starts on LIV isn't it? So full field, all out at once. Maybe anyone slow would stand out more, hold up the whole field so the pressure to keep moving is greater?Don’t know squat about LIV and never will so this is just a question but what are the comparable field sizes?
Is it a stat though ? PGAT rounds five and a half hours ?Shotgun starts on LIV isn't it? So full field, all out at once. Maybe anyone slow would stand out more, hold up the whole field so the pressure to keep moving is greater?
Interesting stat though, that's quite a difference.
I don't know. I've taken the post at face valueIs it a stat though ? PGAT rounds five and a half hours ?
Having done some more research seems the long rounds on PGAT are in rounds 1&2 so field size must have something to do with it.Don’t know squat about LIV and never will so this is just a question but what are the comparable field sizes?
