Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

When a leaderboard looks like this, there's a couple of things that I wonder about :
Was the weather really odd?
Is the course just a crapshoot ?
I didn't watch last night, so could anyone suggest whether these were in play?

Everything is just way too soft, but especially the greens - even fairway woods were pitching and stopping dead.

Dread to think what us mere mortals would shoot around Sawgrass 🤣🤣🤣
I loaded it up on Hole19 yesterday and that reckons I get 25 shots to play there. So if I played very well I'd just break 100, but more likely after stuffing a few in the lakes I'd be looking at 110-115 best case scenario. 😄

You may have your a game that day so perhaps 105 to 110? 😅

Or put down a marker ? And a faster response ejection policy for these types of personally abusive fans will cut it out.
It’s an interesting one. No issue with the heckler getting tossed out (there’s a written code of conduct that says you WILL get ejected if you heckle so he can have no complaints). Rory maybe didn’t deal with it in the best way but if he’d just had a quiet word and the offender was ejected… no news coverage, no warning to others.

I love the proximity to players during live events for spectators - but that privilege comes with responsibilities. If it becomes acceptable via the slippery slope to heckle then the family friendly nature of the event reduces and those spectator boundary ropes will move back and back; and at that point it’s better to watch it on telly.

So we're not going to get an explanation of why he took the guy's phone then? Or what he did with it afterwards?

I know the crowd guy is in the wrong obviously, but Rory once again, is just a really weird bloke. Cannot warm to him at all in the way he responds to most things.

Yeah but if we all only root for the nicest guy on tour - who is of course Tommy Fleetwood (and I’m totally in that camp - even more so after seeing how he conducts himself in person) then we may exceed our capacity to tolerate disappointment 🤣.

You want the whole story? How can the press generate stories and how can social media survive if people give the whole story? Just post enough to generate some clickbait and leave it at that!

I'm sure Rory would have given the phone back, or to a steward but much more interesting to hint that maybe he drove it into the water to catch up with his ball :ROFLMAO:

I don't actually mind if Rory wins this one. It will make it even sweeter to see the fanboy meltdown when he bottles the masters

Course seems a bit easy this morning with the morning moisture on the greens.
Probably be a completely different course for the afternoon players.
