Problems with trolley

I plugged my battery into my trolley tonight and it went straight into drive mode, the top setting. It only stopped when the circuit was broken between the battery and the trolley by unplugging the trolley. I have looked online for some help in the FAQ section, and in the manual, no luck. It's an EziCaddy EZI5.

It should'nt happen , when power is first applied it should be to normally open contacts.
