Private clubs - Liverpool area

Houhwood is a great course but very hilly. I'm joining next year as I only live a few miles away. They've dropped the joining fee from the best part of a grand to £150. The subs are about £900 a year.

doesn't that tell you something blue, people have been leaving in droves over the past few years and I mentioned it to you about the in house fighting that still seems to be going on.

Quick Update .....

The response from Mossock Hall has been luke warm at best. Eccleston Park on the other hand have been excellent.

Not spoken to Lee Park as yet, will try this weekend. Will also then get out and about and play the courses - thanks for all the kind offers.

Cheers

Lee park don't have a pro mate, but they have a course manager (Steve Settle). I doubt he will be in the office until Monday/Tuesday, but he'll look after you.

Mention the forum and Peter Hurst as well (me), I'm sure he'll treat you well as he also did with Scouser, garyinderry,Podgster on here who are also now members.

I'm chocker with games of golf for the next 2-3 weeks, but the other lads will take you on after 4 for £10 during the week, or £15 on the weekend, after 4. IMHO Lee park is a better course then Eccleston, and the reciprocal options are without equal, locally, as well as around the UK.

They currently have the rest of the year option for £400, I think. There is no joining fee at lee park, if you don't like it after 6 months you can always go elsewhere, no worse off.

May see you in the future - not a blue are yer?

What did Mossock say? Quite surprised although I don't know the Manager.

Spoke to them over the phone and they weren't very helpful at all really. Will give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again. Compared with Eccleston who really couldn't do any more for me. They were excellent.
