Agree,just take away one of Scotlands places,in fact both,as neither will be needed.

I would think we as a country are only allowed 4 teams in the comp. Did they not change the rules a couple of years ago with Everton and Liverpool and UEFA saying in the future only 4 teams max from each country no matter how they get there. I think it more a case of nobody thinking Chelsea would finish outside top 4.

They bent the rules for Real Madrid a while back around 98 I think. Just depends who the club involved is all boils down to money really. Do you think they would have bent the rules if it had been Everton instead of Liverpool asking for this? Not a chance just like when Zaragoza lost out to Madrid in the same manner

The top 3 are automatic qualification places. The final place goes to either 4th place, or the winner of the competition if they're not already in the top 4.

The 4th place being awarded a place in the Champions League is subject to the winner of the competition, which is based on 6 group games, a slack handful of knock out rounds, then the final, so hardly based on the outcome of one game. I get your point though.

It's a good ruling. If Spurs finish 4th somehow, and Chelsea win it, I will be in tears of laughter throughout Summer!

If Chelsea win Champion sLeague and Newcastle finish 4th then I think this is a bloody fantastic ruling and will keep me laughing all summer...and beyond! :rofl:

Newcastle could sneak 3rd yet. Arsenal and them look like they are going to ave a right scrap. Not sure Chelsea will win the trophy though.
