Prefered shot making

Maybe if you just concentrated on putting the ball on the green instead of thinking about all this nonsence you would get somewhere!!!!!! You have too much time on your hands!!!

in my lexicon, shaping means aiming in a direction calculated to negate what you are sure is going to happen. in my case this generally means aiming to the right side of the green irrespective of pin position as I'm certain I'm going to pull/hook the approach - then I hit it straight.

If I do try to shape a shot I do it by aiming at the safest miss and then bring it back.

ie, if there are bunkers short right my basic approach would be to aim for the back left with a bit of draw.

This way if I under hit it, which most of us amateurs do, I should still have the yardage to hit the green.

If I push the ball or start it too far right it may come back to the righthand side of the green.

If I pull it it should still hit the left hand side of the green, and, if I hit it perfectly it should finish middle of the green with two putts for par.
