Practise Ground Yardage

Hi Guys
can anybody recommend an android app that will do the same job as a range finder just to measure distances in the park. This is so i can practice wedge yardages off grass. Was thinking of measuring between two bamboo canes for example. If I cant find anything I will have to measure a bit of string in the house.

I use on android phone mainly for when im cycling as it gives me distance,avg speed etc.
When you open the app,it picks up your location then you start record and when you get to where you want you stop recording and it will calculate ur distance along with other info,only thing is distance is measured in miles or kilometre and you may have to do bit maths to work out in yrds or metres.

When I was working out the yardages for my clubs there was a breeze of about 10mph so I hit the shots from both ends of the practice ground (naughty and against the rules ) and took the average distance both ways, into and down wind. I've got them in my golf bag if I need to double check them.
