OK so on this forum the story goes..

Question is asked on grip...swing...technique....

Then

Some silly / funny answers and pi^s take answers get replied...

Then some sensible (and bob will chip in)

Then book a lesson with a pro comes along.

So who actually has / has had lessons and how many (Hommer i know u robably have lost count ;))

And has it improved your game???

Had a lot of lessons as a kid and a fair few when I started playing again after a few years off for Uni etc many moons ago. Improved my game from 16 to 10 h/cap. Always had 2-3 lessons a year since then and always found them useful.

Went through a period of having one a month 2 years ago but I was practising all the time to work in the changes.

Now I try and have one or two at start of the year as a bit of a tune up so I can work on things and hopefully be ready for the season. Once the season has started I try not to worry about the technique too much unless (like this season) I've struggled and need to re-address the basics.

If there was an option of 1-2 lessons a year I'd of ticked that one.

I have found that because all my lessons were off mats this wasn't helping my irons or wedge play as i was hitting off the same consistant surface, i've played a lot more golf this year and this has improved my game in leaps and bounds simply because i'm playing round a course and thinking about my game more.

Had 4 lessons at Swindon Golf club, Dudley when i started then about 2 years later had lessons with Maureen Madill out of Carden Park and 2 out here in last year

Lesson once every 4 weeks, has been mostly swing fine tuning stuff until now, I am moving onto 120 yards and in + chipping.

Putting I am quite happy to do myself with a V-Easy. I used it to great effect recently, had a 2 hour practice session on chipping and putting then went out for 6 holes, was one over gross with 1 birdie and two lipped out birdie putts! The only thing wrong was the line I chose!
