So what have you got.
All this talk about ranges and practice grounds got me down.
My new club has a putting green (a good one!) and 2 Nets'n'Mats. That's it. Apart from the par 3 course - great but a bit far away to do a bit of chipping before a round.
If I want a range I have to go to my old club (decent range - rubbish green). As for a practice ground - forget it.
And don't even mention bunkers....

So there's nowhere I can practice everything.

What's your facilities like?

We've got two warm up nets which are currently being revamped. We have a practice putting green which you are allowed to play chip and runs onto but not any high chip shots. On the practice ground we have two flags and a yardage marker at 50 through to 200 yards respectively. These are pretty accurate according to GPS (SC5). We also have a decent practice bunker but no real green to land the ball on, just a bit of mown grass. What we really need is a dedicated shgort game ares with a small USGA spec green. However what we have is pretty sufficient and I can always utilise my local range if I needanything else

We have an excellent putting green which is large enough to have uphill / downhill sections etc (no chipping to this), small practice ground for short game with another green and a bunker, probably 100 yards long. Then there is a large practice ground which has marker posts up to 250 yards.

Pretty good really, the only thing thats a bit shabby is the one warm up net.

6 practice nets.

Putting green (slightly better than the main greens).

Putting and chipping green (more like the main greens).

Large practice ground on East course, 6/7 iron wide x long iron and woods long, plus chipping/pitching green and practice bunkers to the green.

Smaller practice ground mainly used by the Pros for teaching on West course 6/7 iron long plus plus chipping/pitching green and practice bunker to the green.

Needless to say, out of about 1200 members, probably no more than 30 or 40 use the larger practice ground regularly.

At Murrayshall we are very lucky. We have a proper driving range with covered bays albeit a bit out of the way, a large well maintained putting green another green which you can chip/pitch to and a practice bunker and rough at the side of it. Needless to say I hardly use any of these facilities! :(

Wow I feel blessed now. Though the clubhouse is separate the first tee is down by the practice area. Large chip and run putting green, driving range, par 3 practice course (which is what use at the moment) and a practice bunker with two 'green targets'.

We have a small putting green, a chipping area, a grass driving range (no mats) and a practice bunker. Its just enough to be able to get good practice with.

We have a kidney shaped putting green with one end for putting and the other which is raised is for chipping.

Our range is a big space about 270 at its longest and about 100 at its widest. Theres a white line that gives you flags at 50/100/150/200 to end of range and the other 65 yards is just if you want to go back further to practice woods.

It has an area off to the side with 2 bunkers and they've just built a new pitching green for up to 100 yard shots that will be open next year hopefully.

Also theres the usual practice net.

Next to the 1st tee we have another practice green for last minute chipping/putting while waiting for your tee off. This happens to be a better green than the big practice one so I use it quite a bit although both are excellent quality to be fair.

These facilities were a major factor in my joining the club as i'm an avid practicer and spend many many hours honing my game and tweaking things. I love practicing :)

Decent size driving range with covered bays but no distance markers and the balls are about 50 years old. Practice bunker. Smallish putting green. No chipping/pitching green. By the way, how much do you pay for range balls? (I don't use ours, prefer the commercial range, now run by AGD, 10 mins drive away.)

We have ok practice facilities at John O`Gaunt. We have three warm up nets, we have a large putting green just by the patio of the club house and 18th green. We have a green that you can pitch to from 40yds to 120yds. We have a chipping green with 4 hole so you can vary your pitch and runs, this also has a practice bunker next to it. You can also putt on this green as it usually in good condition all year but nothing is ever done to it! There is also a practice ground that you can hit your woods and irons on, this has flags dotted around it and is marked out with yardage boards.

OK facilities at Stoke Rochford, couple of warm up nets, a putting green and a chipping green right by the first tee and a practice ground over by the 18th with a practice bunker. No driving range though but to be honest, there is one at a course nearer to my home that I use if the desire takes me.

Wybo has a range, putting green and chipping/bunker area - on the face of it quite good. but

the range is in poor shape, the mats are long overdue for replacement and what tees there are are usually halfway up the range.
the chipping area is a bit small, and too often blocked out by the pros for lessons.

Where do I start...

We have a large field out the back with driving distance signs 50,150 and 250 yards, 270 total (This is fine for me, but not so good for some of the big hitters on here ;)) This also has 4 practice holes with poor greens on it. We have another long iron field about 200 yards with a bunker, this runs alongside the first. A par 3 practice hole, with a good green and bunker at about 130 yards long. A large practice putting green. Another green next to the first tee for chipping and putting, and a net next to the first.

We have a large practice ground that will take up to a driver (just), a very small practice ground that will only really take 9-iron and below, and a specialist wedge practice ground complete with bunker and 3 pitching greens. We also have a practice putting green and a 2 berth net. Guess we are lucky with this set-up.
